Old Hickory Bat Company

For 25+ years, Old Hickory Bat Company has been building bats for the best players in the world — and we’re not done yet.

Founded in 1999 out of a one-car garage in Goodlettsville, Tennessee, Old Hickory has grown into one of the most trusted names in professional baseball. Today, over 200 professional players swing Old Hickory — including Mike Trout, Kyle Tucker, Matt Olson, Byron Buxton, Michael Harris II, Jung Hoo Lee, Brendan Donovan, and Max Clark. That list didn’t happen by accident. It happened because we build a better bat.

Our facility sits 20 miles north of Nashville, with over 16,500 square feet of manufacturing and showroom space dedicated to one thing: producing the finest wood bats in the game. Every bat starts with hand-selected maple and birch from the Northeastern United States and Canada — only the highest graded billets make the cut. From there, each bat is turned, hand sanded, and hand finished to the exact specifications of the player who ordered it. No shortcuts. No compromises.

What sets Old Hickory apart is simple: we don’t cut a bat until after we receive your order. That means you’re never getting a bat that sat in inventory for six months. You’re getting a fresh bat, built for you, treated with the same care and attention we give to every MLB player on our roster.

With over 1,500 models on file and a team that lives and breathes baseball, we have the knowledge and experience to get the exact bat you’re looking for into your hands. Whether you’re a professional player or someone who takes the game seriously, Old Hickory is built for you.
