Each HDS bat starts with a denser, higher-grade maple or birch billet and features slight design modifications to accommodate that density — delivering more mass in the barrel and a harder hitting surface right out of the box. Every HDS bat is also STEEL PRESSED®, Old Hickory’s proprietary process that compresses and compacts the wood grain for even greater hardness. The result is the best value wood bat we make. All HDS bats come full cupped and are -3 drop. Stock bats ship within 3–5 business days.
