Founded in 1999, what began in a one-car garage has now grown to encompass over 16,500 square feet of manufacturing and showroom space. With a team boasting over 75 years of combined experience in wood bat manufacturing and professional play, we specialize in crafting custom maple and birch bats for hundreds of elite players worldwide.Â
On September 15, 2000, while a member of the Cleveland Indians, David Segui became the first major league player to hit an Old Hickory powered Grand Slam. To commemorate our 25th Anniversary, David's Grand Slam and to "tip our cap" to all of the players who have chosen Old Hickory from the beginning, we are bringing back David Segui's DS2 model.
The Old Hickory DS2 has a medium barrel with a thin handle and a flare into the knob. The gradual taper from the barrel to the handle allows for maximum hitting surface while retaining great balance and weight distribution. The DS2 is an excellent choice for players wanting a balanced bat for increased bat control. The Steel Pressed finish compresses and compacts the wood, making it exponentially harder. Combine this process with our extremely hard, high gloss finish and you have the hardest and most durable bats in the game!
